The Artist

Mia Stawinski

Mia Stawinski is an award-winning Dutch–Polish photographer whose work explores the intimate bond between humans and the natural world. Each image she creates is a portal into nature, inviting stillness, presence, and a deep sense of belonging. Through her lens, Mia encourages us to fall back in love with nature — to remember our place within it and to care for the fragile yet resilient planet we call home.

A recipient of more than ten international awards, her work has been recognized by National Geographic and the International Photography Awards, and she was named Underwater Photographer of the Year by the Refocus Awards.

Her photographs have appeared in Oceanographic Magazine, Shoot Magazine, and other international publications, and have been commissioned by conservation NGOs, brands, magazines, and luxury resorts. Her work has been featured in photography exhibitions. Combining underwater and topside perspectives, Mia reveals the beauty, resilience, and urgency of Earth’s most extraordinary ecosystems.
